Grandma's Swedish Dinner Rolls

Recipe by Emma Christina (Matson) Browning

Cream together:
1 cup shortening
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
Add:
1 cup boiling water
1 cup cold water
Then add:
2 tablespoons dry yeast in 1/4 cup warm water
2 beaten eggs
1 teaspoon baking powder
6 cups flour

Once mixed together, let rise to twice its size.  Then take half of the dough and roll out in a rectangular shape with a rolling pin.  Butter liberally, roll up, and cut into 1 1/4" sections.  Put into a greased muffin or cake pan and let double in size again.  Bake at 375 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
